The first launch of the Anjou Vélo Vintage has been given this Tuesday March 20th during a press conference in Paris, rue Quincampoix.

Anjou Velo Vintage seconda edizione 2012

Three months before the first pedal strokes on the Loire’ edge and the Saumur’ hillside, the Anjou Vélo Vintage second edition was introduced to the press on Tuesday March 20th in La Flaq, rue Quincampoix, in Paris. Christophe Béchu, the County Council of Maine-et-Loire’s president, organizer of this original event, revealed the vintage bike ride program which will take place the next 23th and 24th June in Saumur.

Riding the crest of vintage fashion, and with the first edition strong success which brought together more than 500 participants and 10 000 spectators, the vintage bike ride is speeding up in 2012. For two days, the party will be in full swing in the retro trend village set up in Saumur’s heart.

All curious, vintage fans and old bicycles enthusiasts will dandle among the bric-a-brac traders and fripperies, musicians and swing dancers.

A gathering of old cars and a concours d’elegance will liven up this sepia color event. On Sunday June 24th, the Anjou Velo Vintage departure will be given from 10am on the village. Participants will dash forward on three routes (34, 58 and 100km) behind a publicity caravan worthy the yesteryear Tour de France.
