Our tips for making the most of your sunny weekend
Dear participant,
The 14th edition of Anjou Vélo Vintage is going ahead as planned, and the entire team is delighted to welcome you this weekend in Saumur to celebrate cycling, vintage style and conviviality together!
With the high temperatures expected, the City of Saumur, the Saumur Val de Loire Metropolitan Area and the Prefecture services are fully mobilised alongside us to ensure the best possible welcome conditions. Several measures have been strengthened to allow you to enjoy your getaway with complete peace of mind.
A vintage look that’s also suited to the weather! Choose lightweight, light-coloured and breathable clothing. Don’t forget your hat or cap, as well as your sunscreen.
Stay hydrated and keep cool: additional water stations have been set up along the routes. Remember to bring your water bottle so you can refill it throughout your ride. Shaded areas will also be available at each stop.
Enjoy the wine tastings responsibly: the tastings offered along the routes will go ahead as planned. Remember to alternate with water and adjust your alcohol consumption to the heat. Alcohol-free alternatives will be available at all sites.
At the Vintage Village: additional water points and misting stations will be available to help you cool down.
Let’s respect public spaces: in accordance with regulations, alcohol consumption is prohibited in public areas outside the designated zones (at the refreshment points along the routes and in the Vintage Village).
